Rumors are flying that the Spice Girls may extend their world tour to include a few gigs Down Under!

According to Britain’s The Sun, Australian promoters offered the Spice Girls nearly 10 million pounds to extend their tour. They girls are now in talks to add 12 dates in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane in March.

“The girls have a massive fan base in Australia and a huge amount of cash is being thrown at them to get them to perform there,” a inside source told the magazine. “Everyone in Oz has been reading about the show and now they want a piece of the action.”

And why wouldn’t they? I think for the tour to be considered truly global, Australia needs a few dates to spice things up!

Mel B has twisted her ankle – just weeks after Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton did the same thing.

Scary, 32, injured her foot while celebrating New Year's Eve at London hotel Claridge's.

'Mel B got so drunk she fell down a flight of stairs and twisted her ankle, so she won't be busting the moves tonight,' Geri Halliwell, 35, told the crowd at the O2 on Wednesday night.

The mum-of-two definitely didn't seem as bouncy as her usual self.

'Scary was certainly much more reserved,' a source tells the Daily Mirror. 'It was clear the injury was affecting her and she couldn't gyrate around the stage like normal.'

And in the case of Brit and Jamie Lynn, it's an even tougher situation, they have their mother Lynn pushing her way into the spotlight to with her new big book deal that won't die.

So it's triplets all desperately and determinedly needing attention and Britney, a huge child star and the center of the Spears family's focus for all these years, feels she needs it the most. She needs to be Number One Daughter and she'll do whatever it takes to stay that way.

A shrink friend explained it to me like this "when you get that type of stardom at such a young age and when it feels like it's being taken away with her career on a downward slide, it's such a loss, such a void that Britney has tried to fill it.

First, "it was with having babies and they were taken away. Now her sister and mother are taking away her press spotlight. She feels like everything is being taken away."

Britney is very likely mentally unstable. Star magazine has had medical experts telling us for almost a year that she is probably bi-polar. When you have mental instability, mixed with drugs and alcohol and a feeling of loss of control, it's not hard to understand Britney's desperate measures to regain control of her power in both her personal relationships and her control of the media spotlight.

She may not be able to tell her sister and mother face to face to get the heck out of her spotlight, but sadly, she just found another effective way to do it!

It's been widely reported that Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn can't stop butting heads on the set of Four Christmases but apparently it was a scene where they're supposed to bump uglies that really has Reese hot and bothered — but for all the wrong reasons. "Reese has an issue with the scripted love scene," an on-set source tells PageSix.com. The sex scene is written as a funny, American Pie-style romp, but "Reese is such a prude, she thinks it's just too much," the insider adds.

While Reese may be the bigger star of the two, Vince definitely has more clout on set. Not only is he one of the film's producers but he also oversaw most of the writing, so the sex scene will most likely be filmed as written.

But Reese may not be the only one scoffing at some of the film's content — there is a chance Vince's ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston won't be too happy, either, because Vince's character is oddly named "Brad." Honestly, to play a character named after your ex-girlfriend's ex-husband — it's all so meta! Only in Hollywood.

The Enquirer claims Zac broke up with his long-time sweetie by phone on December 19th; leaving Vanessa “stunned.”

“They’ve been together for a long time, and he didn’t even call her to wish her a Merry Christmas,” according to the tabloid’s report.

“Zac wants to move on, start seeing other girls. He’s had no shortage of women hitting him up to become Vanessa’s replacement. Zac’s got enough numbers to fill a phone book.”

Though she may not be the most likely person to help Britney Spears pull herself out of the current funk she finds herself in, Paris Hilton has reportedly sent her best wishes to the troubled singer.

The “Simple Life” starlet was spotted out at Teddy’s bar in Hollywood, California last night, and upon her exit, she had a message for the “Gimme More” singer.

Paris said she was “hoping (Britney) will get better, get some help, and do better in 2008.” She then flashed her trademark “Zoolander” face and hit the road.

However, given the earlier Gossip Girls report of Hilton’s own late night antics, and the fact that she was spotted bumping and grinding on Spears’ ex husband Kevin Federline, it may be unlikely that Brit will take Paris’ words to heart.

Cox, who is executive producer of the series, “plans to use Spears’ antics - including her divorce and custody battle with ex Kevin Federline and her bizarre head-shaving incident earlier this year - as inspiration for the show’s second series.” However, the former FRIENDS stars insists that Spears should not take it personally, claiming that the storylines are not an attack on the performer, and not meant to offend her or anyone else.

Few can deny the importance of education to success in life. There are exceptions to this rule, particularly in the celebrity world where some celebrities have managed to achieve great success and wealth without the benefits of an education. Sometimes the desire for the spotlight can override an aspiring celebrities desire to finish school. Do you recognize these well known celebrity high school drop outs?

1. Paris Hilton
Although some might question her level of talent, Paris has managed to achieve a sort of celebrity fame of her own. (some would say infamy). She reportedly dropped out of the upscale Manhatten High School; she attended during her junior year, although she did go on to earn her GED. Could this explain the spelling mistakes seen on her confiscated emails?

2. Avril Lavigne
Few will deny the musical talent of the young Avril Lavigne. She is reported to have dropped out of Napanee District High School, in Ontario, Canada-she was in the 11th grade after receiving a recording contract. When she was interviewed on the Barbara Walters show and questioned about school, she proudly announced to the audience that she had dropped out of high school. When Barbara Walters suggested she could still go back, she replied, "Um, yeah no that's okay." To her credit, she did earn her GED.

3. Jessica Simpson
During her years in high school, she was nominated as homecoming queen two years in a row and was an active cheerleader. Despite her high school successes, Jessica Simpson reportedly dropped out of J.J. Pearce High School in 1997 to further her music career. She also went on to earn her GED. Are the rather naive statements we frequently hear out of her mouth a part of the act or is her lack of education being revealed?

4. Hilary Swank
Hilary Swank, who played a teacher in the movie "Freedom Writers", was a high school dropout. When she was asked why she chose to drop out of school, she was quick to reply that she didn't like the rules and the fact she was often cited for "talking excessively" on her report cards. She did emphasize her belief in the importance of education and claims she would encourage kids to stay in school. Despite her lack of formal education, Hillary was able to achieve the status of Academy Award winning actress.

5. Britney Spears
Britney Spears is another example of a singer who dropped out of high school to pursue a musical career. She reportedly attended Kentwood High school in Louisiana before dropping out to make it big in the musical world. It's unclear as to whether she ultimately earned a GED. Could she have avoided some of her poor lifestyle choices had she continued to pursue her education?

6. Lindsey Lohan
Renowned for her chaotic childhood, it should come as no surprise that Lindsey dropped out of Calhoun High School on Long Island while still in the eleventh grade. Why did she leave high school before graduation? A direct quote from the celebrity might best express her motivation: "Life is full of risks anyway, why not take them?" She's obviously taken a few risks in her own life.
