She dumped paparazzi photographer ADNAN GHALIB following a blazing row, convinced he was cheating on her.

But before she ordered him from her home in the Hollywood hills, she grabbed the Apple gadget and threw it in the water.

An insider told how Toxic singer Britney, 26, confronted Brummie Adnan after two video clips showing him out with mystery girls were posted on internet blogs.
In one, he was caught briefly holding hands with a woman as they left a restaurant.

Wet ... iPhone
Britney then checked his iPhone — and saw the sexy texts.
The insider said: “There were about a dozen from one girl, all sent on one day.

“They were pretty saucy stuff with sexual references — certainly not the sort you’d send to just a friend.

“Britney lost it and started yelling.

“She was demanding to know who sent the texts and shouting, ‘What’s this about? You’re cheating on me’.

“Adnan said the girl was just a friend, but Britney got more and more angry. Then she told him, ‘That’s it. It’s over’.

IT was a heart-warming love story for our time.
Adnan fell for pop princess Britney the moment he set eyes on her through his long lens - then charmed his way into her life.
But The Sun says she is better off without him. Adnan was one low-life frog who was never going to turn into a prince.

“Just before she told Adnan to go, she took the phone and threw it in the pool right in front of him. He didn’t even bother trying to get it out of the water.”

Insiders say Britney is adamant she is finished with smooth-talking Adnan, 35, who was still with his wife when he started romancing Britney late last year.

But he persuaded the singer to see him again after wooing her with love notes and a string of romantic texts.

Party-girl Paris Hilton got deep and meaningful on a Hollywood shopping trip by taking along her very own mystical guru.

The socialite ditched her usual girlie pals for a bearded medicine man companion, who wore long robes.

And at one point the Eastern mystic even appeared to be giving her a blessing, by touching her forehead.

The odd couple also read through a pamphlet with the title The Path Of The Painted Shaman, which teaches about spiritual health.

Blonde Paris, 27, also chose a demure white dress for her outing instead of one of her usual revealing numbers.

The ladylike look was a far cry from when she celebrated her birthday last month and wore just a saucy corset, knickers and stockings. Paris and her shaman visited an outlet in west Hollywood, which specialises in health foods and a bookshop stocking works on metaphysics and eastern religion.

The unlikely pair left the store loaded down with bags of books to give heiress Paris spiritual guidance.

The beauty was also seen giving away a piece of diamond jewellery at her guru’s suggestion.

An onlooker said: “They made a real odd couple walking round Beverly Hills.

“But maybe it means Paris is finally ready to calm down her partying and get in touch with her spiritual side.”

Mega-rich Paris was seen with self-help books and insisted she had found God after her jail term for a motoring offence last year.

But she has since been seen living it up at various LA nightspots.

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger only survived an assassination attempt by Hells Angels members nearly 40 years ago because a boat carrying his would-be killers was swamped in a storm, according to a new BBC documentary.

The details of a plot to kill the British rocker were revealed by an FBI agent as part of a series, "The FBI at 100," which is to be aired on BBC Radio 4 on Monday.

Tom Mangold, who presents the series, told Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper that Jagger fell out with the Hells Angels after a member of the notorious gang killed a fan during the band's infamous free concert at Altamont in 1969.

The Stones had hired the local chapter to provide security for the poorly planned concert near San Francisco. The bikers terrorized the crowd, and were offended by Jagger's effeminate dancing. One of them stabbed 18-year-old Meredith Hunter to death in front of the stage. The chaos was immortalized in the documentary "Gimme Shelter."

The Hells Angels felt they had been duped by Jagger as fingers were pointed in the aftermath of the concert. Former special agent Mark Young, who was interviewed for the BBC series, said a boatload of Hells Angels set out to take revenge on Jagger at his holiday home in the Hamptons, near New York City.

"The Hells Angels were so angered by Jagger's treatment of them that they decided to kill him," Mangold told the newspaper.

"They planned the attack from the sea so they could enter his property from the garden and avoid security at the front. The boat was hit by a storm and all of the men were thrown overboard. All survived and there was not said to have been any further attempt on Jagger's life."

Alan Passaro was arrested and tried for Hunter's murder in 1972 but was acquitted after a jury concluded that he had acted in self-defense because Hunter was carrying a handgun. Passaro later drowned in an accident.

Russell Simmons has been pushing young people to vote, but for a while there, it was looking as if the music industry heavyweight would have trouble casting his own ballot.

Not anymore.

The hip-hop mogul said Sunday he is endorsing Barack Obama for president, inspired by the diversity among the Illinois senator's supporters. Obama has built an unprecedented national movement of people from all ethnic, racial, political, social and economic backgrounds, Simmons said in a news release.

It was a little more than a year ago that Simmons, the co-founder of Def Jam Recordings who says he's an independent who has supported Democrats and Republicans, sounded as if he was having a hard time deciding.

"If you could take Barack Obama's image, add Hillary Rodham Clinton's money and John Edwards' voice, that would be my candidate," Simmons said in January 2007.

At the time, Simmons called Obama "a rock star" who hadn't presented a clear picture of where he stands.

"I don't know what his opinions are," Simmons said then, noting that he preferred Edwards' message and was fond of liberal Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

Simmons still has enough love to go around, it seems.

While endorsing Obama on Sunday, he noted his respect for Clinton from having worked with the New York senator on education, prison reform and anti-poverty programs.

Simmons, who has encouraged influential musicians to become more involved in the political process, said he's particularly impressed, however, by Obama's support among young people.

Madonna is refusing to worry about her forthcoming 50th birthday, insisting the landmark age is "not a bad word".

The Material Girl singer will celebrate the milestone on 16 August (08), but claims her advancing years have done little to dampen her attitude to life.

At a press conference on Thursday (28Feb08) to promote the upcoming release of her new album Hard Candy, Madonna was hounded by reporters wanting to know how she feels about turning 50.

When a journalist mentioned "5-0" in hushed tones, she responded, "It's not a bad word, you can say it".

She also urged them not to view the age as a milestone, saying: "I see it as another excuse to have a birthday party.

"(Physically) I feel stronger now than, maybe, 20 years ago - but I think your physicality is connected to your consciousness so if your mind is strong, your body will be strong".

Meanwhile in other news Pop superstar Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie have bought a traditional London pub near their home in the British capital.

Colin Farrell has steamed up the screen on many occasions and now does the same for himself. The star, who kicked a deadly drug habit, found his new addiction while filming in New York, taking Russian-style steam baths while covered in honey. Farrell has admitted he went to rehab to get off ecstasy, cocaine, speed, Jack Daniels and wine, told GQ magazine: “There’s something very basic about rubbing honey on your skin and going steaming with a bunch of strange Russian men.”
Colin was a daily visitor to the 10th Street Russian and Turkish Baths where guests are smothered in honey before steaming. He went on to use one of the few bathhouses in Belgium while shooting his new movie In Bruges. He is now a regular at Los Angeles bathhouses. Way to keep it clean, Colin!

Avril Lavigne has blasted young Hollywood stars for deliberately courting the tabloid press. The star is disgusted by Hollywood starlets who tip off the paparazzi and hang around in areas where they know they'll be spotted by photographers.

She says, "I think a lot of the Hollywood girls, I won't get into names, are obsessed with the paparazzi. They call them or go to the Ivy (restaurant) so they'll be seen and followed for the rest of the day.

"I won't go shopping on Robertson Boulevard in LA, because it's so cheesy. I would feel lame. it's embarrassing."

MOS Def has his own theory about America's love affair with presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

"America's too vain, and he appeals to America's sense of vanity," the rapper said in an interview with Rolling Stone's Anthony DeCurtis at the 92nd Street Y the other day. "It's the A & R guy in me . . . when I saw him on the cover of Men's Vogue, I said, 'This guy's gonna win because he looks good.' So, the best-looking guy for the job is a black guy. I'm cool with that. People also want a rock-star quality to the president, which he has."
