After reportedly stealing a wig and four coats recently, she has now swiped a cigarette lighter from a petrol station.

Britney reportedly grabbed the lighter while exiting the store in Sherman Oaks, California, on Friday and was only alerted to her mistake by waiting snappers.

She responded: "Stole something? Oh, I'm bad!"

Luckily for Britney, the owner, JATINDER KAUR, is refusing to press charges, preferring to wait until she returns and pays him back.

He said: "Yes, Britney stole a blue lighter here last night. The lighter is $1.39. I'm hoping maybe the next time she comes back she will pay for it.

"I know she can afford to pay for it, but I'm not planning to file a police report. It's still not right for her to steal the lighter.

"I hope she will do the right thing the next time she comes here."

Britney Spears is to be replaced by a body double for a nude magazine shoot as she is too "out of shape".

The 26-year-old Gimme More singer is baring all in a recreation of an iconic Marilyn Monroe photograph, but Blender magazine reportedly plan to swap her body with a more "in shape" model.

An advert placed in the magazine reads: "We are casting for a Britney Spears body double. You must have shoulder to medium length blonde hair. This person must also be in shape! 5'2" to 5'5.

"This will be a take off of a Bert Stern photograph of Marilyn Monroe in bed, from the last shoot before her death. Your face will not be shown in the final photograph/cover."

The model must be aged 18 to 25 and will be paid $US500 to pose either on December 14 or the 17.

Meanwhile, Britney has posed for a family portrait with sons Sean Preston, two, and 14-month-old Jayden James, but the photographer has reportedly sold the pictures to the press.

The singer posed in private for the personal photographs - believed to be used for her Christmas cards - but photographer Dani Brubaker sent out a press release bragging about the photo shoot.

A source told MSNBC: "She's just another person in a long line of people trying to profit from Britney Spears.

"Britney had no confidentiality agreement in place, so this photographer was able to tell the world that this photo shoot, which was meant to be a sweet family affair, not a publicity stunt, took place. She was choosing a photographer who had no reason to be faithful to Britney.

"Who knows whether Dani will turn around down the road and sell the proofs. It shows that there is no one advising this poor girl."

Britney spent Wednesday house-hunting in Brentwood and Beverly Hills.

The singer wore a pink wig as she viewed million dollar mansions with estate agent Robert Edie, before dining with him at Beverly Hills' Four Seasons hotel.

Larry Birkhead had some pals around to watch Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2007" special Thursday night, but the evening didn't go quite as he had planned.

"Larry had been approached by ABC to be one of the candidates, but unknown to him they didn't use him," says a snitch. "So when they released all the names except the top one — the most fascinating person that they were going to reveal on the show — he thought it was going to be him. That's what he was telling people."

Sadly, No. 1 turned out to be "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling.

Ouch!

According to the source: "Larry even let the paparazzi know he'd be out shopping in L.A. on Thursday for Dannielynn [his daughter with the late Anna Nicole Smith], because he thought the papers were going to need fresh pictures of him."

Folks who did make the cut included David and Victoria Beckham, Justin Timberlake, Katherine Heigl, Jennifer Hudson, Bill Clinton, MySpace moguls Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe, Don Imus and Hugo Chavez. No Howard K. Stern, either!

Ricky Martin is facing fresh speculation over his sexuality after his good friend and skin care specialist OLE HENRIKSEN 'outed' the star in a recent magazine interview.
Henriksen was being interviewed by gay Swedish magazine Salonk when he made the comment about Livin' La Vida Loca's sexual preference.
He's quoted as saying, "He (Martin) is a bit more open about it (his homosexuality) these days than he used to be... I don't know if he has a boyfriend." And when asked who he'd choose to spend a romantic holiday with, Henriksen replied, "I'd go for Stig Tofting (ex Danish soccer player), but since he's straight, I'd say my client Ricky Martin."

Ellen DeGeneres is trying to revamp her image after Iggy-gate - teaming up with fellow animal lover and former Meow Mix owner Richard Thompson to rebuild shabby animal shelters across the United States.

DeGeneres has featured Thompson on her show to talk about the campaign and the first project - a makeover of a sanctuary in Monkey Run, Ark. - is currently under way, with Thompson footing the bill.

"We're halfway done now," Thompson told Page Six. "We've been redoing it for a woman named Janice Wolf, who was found by Ellen. We bulldozed the place, and we're building a new hay barn and a new barn. She's got almost 60 animals, including a zebra, some Watusi cattle and 20 dogs, some that are three-legged, blind and deaf."

DeGeneres and Thompson became friends because they are both "pet nuts," said Thompson, who added that he doesn't mind his pal basking in the spotlight while he does the hard labor and foots the bill.

"She can be the celebrity. She wanted to do something good. I'm proud of her, she believes in this," said Thompson, who sold Meow Mix to Del Monte and now runs the animal-based Web site ZooToo.com.

"These pets are bringing the community together. Ellen's one of the best rescue people I've ever met, she got a bad rap over Iggy," he added.

In September, DeGeneres adopted Iggy the dog from Pasadena-based Mutts & Moms pet adoption agency, then passed him off to her hairdresser two weeks later, claiming the pup didn't get along with her cats. But in handing off the pooch, DeGeneres broke a contract she'd signed with the agency stipulating she was to return the mutt to the agency if the pet wasn't a good fit for her and girlfriend Portia de Rossi.

The agency took Iggy back, leaving the hairdresser's two kids devastated. DeGeneres begged and cried publicly on her show for them to return it.

Thompson will unveil his project tomorrow, and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" will be there to tape it for a future airing. DeGeneres' rep declined to comment.

The former Happy Days star and legendary bachelor finally tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Renee Sloan in a rooftop ceremony at a luxury high-rise Saturday in Los Angeles.

The small religious ceremony was filmed for an episode for the second season of VH1's reality show Scott Baio is 45... and Single, which premieres next month.

Among the attendees: Sloan's 18-year-old daughter by a previous relationship, and according to sources, the newest member of the Baio family: the couple's newborn daughter, whose name has not yet been released.

Not long ago the idea of marriage was an anathema to the longtime Playboy Mansion regular.

"My parents were married 53 years, good and bad," the actor told PEOPLE recently. "Can I do that? Probably not. But I really hope I can. I don't know, 53 years with the same human being? I can't be around myself for more than three or four hours before I want to kill everybody."

Baio and Sloan, a model and actress he dated in the late '90s after meeting at the Playboy Mansion, stayed friends, and reconnected romantically a couple of years ago.

Twenty-five years after Sylvester Stallone first strapped on the headband, he brings his vigilante Vietnam vet, Rambo, back. And he told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts recently at the opening of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, that returning to “Rambo” nearly cost him his life.

“There were a lot of you might say ‘people’ trying to dissuade us,” Stallone told Tony. “There were a lot of threats to myself, to the crew… There were some formidable death threats.

“The day we landed is when Thailand had their coup,” Stallone continued. “I’m seeing all these planes leaving and here comes one arriving and that is us.”

Stallone and the crew were warned they would be shot while filming the new “Rambo” sequel along the war-torn border of Thailand and Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.

“This is a war that has been going on for 60 years against peasants,” Stallone said.

“Were you ever scared for your life, afraid for your life?” Tony asked.

“Usually when I was like, at the set or the hotel, you are fine. But I was worried for people traveling back and forth because things could happen,” he said.

Now safely back in the states, Stallone unleashed major star power at the grand opening of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Among those who turned up with Stallone to the Planet Hollywood opening? Barbra Streisand, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Eddie Murphy and fellow action star Bruce Willis.

“You start out with restaurants and now you are [in to casinos]?” Tony asked.

“We just thought that this would be the perfect synergy with Planet Hollywood — maybe even better then the restaurants because this is a really entertainment oriented hotel,” Stallone said.

His next project? Re-visiting his alter ego — Rocky Balboa — with a musical twist.

“I was just reading about ‘Rocky: The Musical.’ Tell me about it,” Potts asked.

“After ‘Rocky Balboa’ succeeded, it gave it a breath of fresh air and now it is all coming together and they are going to make a fantastic musical,” he said. “Isn’t that incredible? ‘Rocky’ on Broadway.”

If you saw Access Hollywood on Friday and want to know what Sylvester Stallone’s advice to young Hollywood is, read on for this Q&A between Tony Potts and the “Rambo” star.

Potts: What advice would you give young Hollywood?

Stallone: Well you know it would be very hard for me to say because it has changed so much. It is like my parents telling me do it the way I did it. ‘Well, you don’t live in my environment!’

I am basically rooting for these people. The main thing is I hope that their careers last long. I know in this environment there is a great deal of pressure to perform but also the business is eating people up quickly. Careers are much more fragile today, much more fragile then they were in my day and I don’t think you get as many opportunities today.

Potts: It is nice for me when I meet a lot of people, to meet a kid like Milo Ventimiglia, right?

Stallone: Now there is a guy with head on right. He understands that this business is fleeting and you have to look ahead. I think that if anyone believes that they are just gonna be a solitary actor for the rest of their life and the money and the fame is gonna pour in they are gonna have a rude awakening.

It does end, it does change and you have to be ready to take those shots on the chin. Every business — even films has its ups and downs and if you can ride out that valley you will.

Potts: Do you think those people who go out and pose all the time are kind of courting [attention]? So if the paparazzi shows up they should kind of expect it.

Stallone: I think when you are young flirting with danger is kind of interesting and kind of fun. It is a game.

Potts: So you think the Britneys of the world and the Paris’ are kind of playing? They are dancing on the fine line because they know?

Stallone: Absolutely. Everybody knows what’s right and wrong. You know that if you eat this it is going to hurt you and if you go there and play with fire it is gonna get burned, you know it. But there is something inside of you that says, ‘Look! I am going to live my life, I don’t care. I am willing to take the slings and arrows and I am not going to be intimidated. I am going to do what I want to do,’ so it is kind of a rebellious thing. Plus what are you going to do? It is either that or you stay at home and play parchese with the dog.
