A spokesman for Amy Winehouse says London police are no longer investigating the 24-year-old singer on suspicion of witness tampering in a case involving her husband.

The spokesman said Friday that Winehouse isn't required to return to a police station for further questioning. She was arrested in December and released on bail.

Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, appeared in a London court Friday on charges of attacking a pub landlord and later conspiring with him to withdraw as a witness at the trial. Fielder-Civil pleaded not guilty.

Sources are reporting that Lil Wayne and R&B singer Nivea have rekindled their 2003 relationship. Last night Weezy performed in Newark, NJ and none other than his ex Nivea was toting backstage (and on the side of the stage) waiting for her rumored new lil boo. Some folks are even speculating that their new relationship was the main cause of her divorce from everybody favorite falsetto singing producer Dream. I guess somebody listened to Weezy’s plea a little while back that he made on Youtube offering some change to the person who got him back with Nivea. What’s really hood with this mess right here? I so hope dude’s sex game is just blinding for somebody to want to dip back into their own gremlinesque seconds. I’m just saying…

The body of Katoucha Niane, one of the first African women to attain international stardom as a model and a vocal opponent of female genital mutilation, was found in the Seine River, police said Friday.

Known simply as Katoucha, the former top model for Yves Saint Laurent and other top designers was found Thursday near the Garigliano bridge in Paris, judicial police in Paris said.

An autopsy showed no signs of foul play, pointing to the possibility that the 47-year-old may have fallen accidentally into the river, they said.

She had been missing since January and was last seen returning home from a party. She lived in a houseboat near Paris' Alexandre III bridge, and her handbag was later found on the boat.

The Guinean-born model told The Associated Press in 1994 that she ran away to Europe at 17 aiming to be a model. Her big break came when Jules-Francois Crahay, then the designer at Lanvin, spotted her in a line-up. The label hired her as a fitting model. Her first catwalk modeling was for Thierry Mugler at the start of the 1980s.

After quitting the runway, she turned to speaking out actively against female circumcision, describing her own experience at age 9 in a book, "Katoucha, In My Flesh," which was published last year.

"I will never get the incomparable pain out of my head," she wrote in the book, which she dedicated to her three children.

Vanity Fair's fashion and style director, Michael Roberts, said Katoucha was "one those girls who used her fame to spotlight the misfortunes of others."

"She always seemed so gracious and very lovely," he said. "She was sunny and she was bright, and I liked her a lot."

Katoucha set up her own label in 1994 after years of modeling for the likes of Christian Lacroix and Saint Laurent. Singers Cher and France's Johnny Hallyday were among the stars who turned out for her show.

"I don't pretend to be like Lacroix, Saint Laurent or the others," she said at the time. "But I was certainly in a great school by wearing their clothes and going to the fittings. I learned several basic lessons, including: Don't cut the fabric until you've got the 'toile,' or heavy linen prototype, just right."

Katoucha was the daughter of Djibril Tamsir Niane, an archaeologist and writer. She said that her father was initially disappointed that she didn't become "a professional intellectual, with a university degree," but later reconciled to her other successes.

Lindsay Lohan will get another chance to strip off and pose nude as Marilyn Monroe - if Hugh Hefner gets his way.

Hefner wants the starlet to appear in Playboy recreating Monroe’s famous naked swim from her ‘Something’s Got to Give’ movie, according to U.S reports.

Lohan recently stripped off in a New York magazine shoot to pay homage to Monroe. The racy shoot proved so popular that the magazine’s website crashed under the massive volume of hits.

Lohan, 21, paired with Monroe photographer Bert Stern to recreate the famous 1962 photo shoot of the blonde bombshell at the Bel Air hotel.

“Now we hear Lindsay is tempted to continue her nude homage to MM,” Liz Smith writes in the New York Post.

“Playboy’s Hugh Hefner has offered the young star the chance to re-create Marilyn’s famed nude swim from the unfinished film ‘Something’s Got To Give.’”

Ryder Russell Robinson's jet-setting lifestyle doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon! The 4-year-old will continue to travel with his mom, actress Kate Hudson, to film shoots around the world until he's entering high school, Kate says.

Lest anyone doubt the wisdom in that decision, Kate -- as the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn -- says that she need look no further than herself and her brother Oliver Hudson to see that such an arrangement really can work. Kate tells Total Film magazine,

"I grew up in a working family and my children will do the same. Once we hit ninth grade then my parents thought, 'Right, you're in school and if we've got to work, we'll come home every two weeks.' Up until then we were always traveling with our parents, so I'll do the same thing with Ryder."

Ryder is the only child for Kate, 28, and her ex-husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

NICOLE KIDMAN's publicist has slammed reports the pregnant actress was spotted boozing backstage at the Oscars, insisting the star would never be so careless with her health.

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams claimed Kidman was sipping wine at the Academy Awards on Sunday (24Feb08), and her report has fired up publicist Catherine Olim.

Olim fumes, "Nicole Kidman most certainly did NOT drink white wine or any other alcoholic beverage backstage. She had water and lemon zinger tea. That's it. I know, I was there with her.

"I cannot remember that last time that Cindy Adams got anything right. She's an idiot, and you can quote me."

Robert Carlyle has denied tabloid claims that he is lined up to replace David Tennant as the star of Doctor Who.

"Nobody has been in touch with me about Doctor Who, so I really don't know where that came from," the Full Monty star told the Radio Times.

However, Carlyle did admit that he could be lured into the Tardis in the future: "It's David's [Tennant] part and nothing to do with me, so I can't really think about it at the moment. But... would I do it? Possibly."

Tennant is widely expected to leave the acclaimed family show before the fifth season, due to be screened in 2010.

Miley Cyrus has been banned by her parents from hanging out with Lindsay Lohan, because they fear she's a bad influence. The pair met at the Academy Awards on Sunday, and former teen starlet Lohan offered the Hannah Montana star her number.

However the tabloid the National Enquirer claims Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus forced the 15-year-old to delete it, fearing 21-year-old Lohan - who spent time in rehab last year for alcohol abuse - sets a bad example. And the ban is sure to rile Cyrus, who recently complained she is lonely because her parents refuse to let her hang out with friends they don't approve of.

She said, "They're protective for sure. My mom is more strict than my dad. You want to keep your close circle of friends. And sometimes my mom is saying, 'I have a bad vibe about this person. She needs to hang out with you when I'm around just to keep you safe.' I need more friends. It's kind of like my quest right now just to have more true friends."

Hulk Hogan who is divorcing Linda Bollea after nearly twenty-five years of marriage, cheated on his wife with a female friend of his teen daughter Brooke, according to a tabloid report.

Thirty-three year old Christiane Plante, who worked with nineteen year old Brooke on her 2006 LP, has confessed to her affair with the fifty-four year old dad of her friend in a snitching report with The National Enquirer.

Christine claims the affair took place while the family were shooting reality show Hogan Knows Best in 2007:

"My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending. She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed. Terry is a good man, good father and a good friend, and he and I grew close at a time when he was going through a very difficult period. It seemed right then, but I know it was wrong. Having felt the guilt and pain build up, I gave a note to Brooke apologizing for my actions. I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend."

Gwyneth Paltrow has filmed a public service announcement for UNICEF to help raise money to prevent children being born with the HIV virus.

Paltrow's video clip was launched online Wednesday.

The actress agreed to take part in the PSA after being approached by pal Jemima Khan – ex-girlfriend of Hugh Grant – who is urging world leaders to honor their 2007 pledge for AIDS funding that would allow all pregnant women with HIV to receive treatment and care to ensure that their babies are born free from the virus.

"I asked Gwyneth if she would agree to do the voiceover for the film as she is a mother with a global profile who I know is a supporter of UNICEF," Khan tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Paltrow, 35, narrates the four-minute dramatization of a poem by Simon Armitage that deals with the unwanted "gift" of mothers passing on the virus to their unborn children.

"According to UNICEF, a baby is born with HIV almost every minute of every day somewhere in the world. The virus is passed from mother to child during the birth or pregnancy," said Paltrow in a statement released during the film launch. "I have just found out that this can be prevented for less than $2 yet very few women in the poorer countries of the world can get the medicine they need to ensure their baby is born free from HIV. I hope that this new short film will raise awareness and funds about this issue and UNICEF will be able to reach every woman with the vital care and medicines they need.

Britney Spears's mom, Lynne, has been praising her ex-husband, Jamie, who has taken control of their troubled daughter's affairs.

"Jamie had to change his whole routine. Lynne sings his praises. He has been such a rock. He has stepped up to the plate," a family friend tells PEOPLE.

"He's gathered a team of reputable people who are around [Britney] now. She's not well, but for the first time in a long time she has people around her who really care about her."

As for how Lynne is coping with having her daughter in and out of the hospital, the friend says, "She's up and down. It's a roller coaster ride as a mother."

Plus, Lynne also wants to spend time with her pregnant 16-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, who lives in Kentwood, La., the source says. "She has to spend time between L.A. and Kentwood. As a mother she feels needed in both places. She's doing whatever she can to help both girls. She's got that maternal instinct, and it's in high gear."

One positive step for the family has been Britney's recent visits with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1.

"Lynne talked to Jamie, and he said it was a good visit," says the source. "[Britney] slipped into that motherly mode. They picked up right where they left off. She still has a long way to go [to get better], but that's what we hope and pray for ... Lynne and Jamie want their child to be whole again."

Cheryl Cole has reverted back to her maiden name.

The Girls Aloud beauty - who was left devastated by claims her soccer star husband Ashley cheated on her with several women - was met by a limousine driver holding a sign with her former surname, Tweedy, when she arrived at Los Angeles airport over the weekend. Friends say it is the clearest indication yet that Cheryl has decided to end her 19-month marriage.

One said: "She's always been proud to have the surname Cole as she thought it showed her dedication and loyalty to Ashley. Now she's changed back to Tweedy, it shows she's keen to regain her status as a single woman."

Last week, Cheryl, 24, held showdown talks with Ashley at their Surrey home where it was believed she had given him one last chance.

However, just 24 hours later she flew to the States, minus her wedding ring, leaving Ashley fearing for the future of their marriage.

Cheryl had initially vowed to stand by the Chelsea and England player following claims he had slept with hairdresser Aimee Walton after a drunken night last December.

But it then emerged Ashley had offered Aimee money for an abortion after she had a pregnancy scare. Two more women also came forward claiming they had also slept with the soccer ace but were paid to keep quiet.

A devastated Cheryl then escaped to Thailand for a holiday before jetting to Los Angeles for work commitments. She returned to the UK last week for the BRIT Awards and to hold marriage crisis talks with Ashley before heading back to the U.S.

Jamie Lynn Spears is not such a good girl as you used to think anymore! There seems to be some sources that recently declared very nasty things about her! They may not be entirely truth, but she did got pregnant at 16 so, let's not make her a saint either: “I know for a fact that Casey was not the first guy she slept with -- or the last," says one fellow teen in Kentwood, La. "There were at least two others. I know that 110 percent." Another friend says that before her pregnancy Jamie Lynn partied hard but always in private. "Some people drink to have a good time. But she drank to get wrecked. She drank to get messed up and forget about her mother, her sister and all of that." Just days before announcing her pregnancy in December, Jamie Lynn shocked a boy at a party by asking him for sex. "It's cool, I'm pregnant," she said. "I can't get pregnant again!"

JESSICA Alba knows the trauma of developing a big chest at an early age - she says she was labeled a sixth-grade slut by her elementary school principal and a couple of "self-righteous" PTA moms.

Alba adds: "Boys are awful. They are made of nothing but hormones until they're about 20 or 21 . . . It's fun to have a crush, but don't think it's forever . . . And use birth control and condoms, please."

Comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell wants to return to television in a sitcom about three best friends that would co-star “The Nanny’s” Fran Drescher.

Nine months after her abrupt departure from the daytime talk show “The View,” O’Donnell said on her blog that she had teamed with Drescher on the project, which is still in the early stages.

“Now, Fran and I have a new sitcom, but we can’t talk about it, right?” O’Donnell said at the end of a 13-minute video entry with Drescher, posted on rosie.com on Feb. 22.

“We’re going to do a new, fun, happy, family comedy,” Drescher said.

“She and I!” O’Donnell exclaimed with a grin.

The nascent project is apparently still being developed.

“It’s way too premature” to discuss, said Cindi Berger, a spokeswoman for O’Donnell.

But the comedian wrote on her blog that the sitcom was the brainchild of Drescher and her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, who served as executive producer of “The Nanny.” She said it would be taped in front of a live studio audience in New York.

Fans of O’Donnell reacted excitedly to the news.

“Ro, Is it true you & Fran are going to do a sitcom or are you just teasing us?” one wrote.

“true,” O’Donnell responded.

“omg… you and fran are going to be the new lucy and ethel! i am about to bust at the thought of it,” another wrote, prompting O’Donnell to write: “honey SIGN ME UP.”

After leaving “The View,” O’Donnell came out with a memoir, “Celebrity Detox,” and did a guest stint on FX’s “Nip/Tuck.” She expressed interest in returning to television full time, talking up her desire to host the game show “The Price Is Right,” a gig that ultimately went to Drew Carey. Last fall, O’Donnell was in preliminary talks with MSNBC to host a nightly talk show on the cable news network, but those discussions fizzled.

Jessica Simpson will join rock act Disturbed and comedian Carlos Mencia in Kuwait during a concert for U.S troops next month. The event, to be held March 10, is set to be broadcast live on the social networking site MySpace.com.

"It's truly an honor to perform for the troops," Simpson said in a statement. "Through Operation MySpace, I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It's every girl's dream!"

Other acts are expected to be added to the bill, which also includes Filter and DJ Z-Trip.

"For years troops stationed all over the world have utilized MySpace as a lifeline to communicate with their loved ones back home," said MySpace's co-founder, Tom Anderson. "Many of them have been generous enough to share their unique experiences with me through messages on MySpace. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to thank them in person and bring along the entire MySpace community."

An abbreviated version of the concert is set to air April 12 on the cable network FX.

It is hard to imagine Reese Witherspoon, one of Hollywood's sweetest yet sexiest stars, ever even having an ugly day, let alone enduring years of taunting for her physical "differences."

But it turns out the leading lady (and producer) of the new fairy-tale flick "Penelope" has had her fair share of ugly years.

"I was actually teased quite a bit growing up," Witherspoon told Pop Tarts at the Hollywood premiere of "Penelope" last week. "I was a four-eyed square with glasses and I was picked on because of my weird, short-person walk."

But even despite the stress of the spotlight, the Oscar-winning mother-of-two has learned to love those "flaws."

"At the end of the day, you just have to accept what you have been given and appreciate the flaws," Reese said. "You can't get too down on it."

So many people ask me, "What’s wrong with Michael Jackson? How did he get into this terrible situation?" His beloved home, the 2,900-acre Neverland Ranch, is about to be auctioned off in public, with all his possessions in it, on March 19 outside the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.

And, no, this is one foreclosure the federal government is not going to bail out.

Not only that: after a big debut week for the 25th anniversary edition of "Thriller" with 166,000 copies sold. But in its second week, the updated "Thriller" dropped 65 percent and sold just 55,000 copies, according to hitsdailydouble.com.

The bigger question is: What happened to all those Michael Jackson fans? Where are the legions of devoted fanatics who write to me, who consider themselves Jackson’s best friends? Where are they?

The fact is, if Jackson can’t sell more than 200,000 copies of a special edition "Thriller" in two weeks, he’s not going to be selling so many concert tickets after all.

And that may be an essential part of the equation as Jackson’s lawyer, Peter Lopez, makes a last-ditch attempt to refinance the $24.5 million loan needed to keep Neverland. Jackson is already leveraged to the hilt. He has assets on paper, but he doesn’t work. He doesn’t tour, and he’s not releasing records. Why would anyone in this economy lend him any more money?

One of Jackson’s biggest problems is that he won’t return to remunerative work. I told you two weeks ago that he recently was offered a great gig: 10 shows minimum, 30 max, at $1 million apiece to perform the "Thriller" album at London’s Millennium Dome. It was a solid offer from AEG Live. But he wouldn’t do it.

He also wouldn’t appear at the Grammys. He also refused to pitch in on "Thriller" publicity — most of it was done by producer Quincy Jones. It seems no one has ever told Jackson the old adage that 99 percent of life is just about showing up.

Working isn’t always fun, but it can be done. Say what you will about Michael’s sister, Janet, but she keeps going, making money. She’s made three albums in four years, tours constantly and knows how to play the game. Unlike Michael, Janet understands that she’s not entitled to anything. She goes out and gets what she wants and needs. Maybe Michael should take a lesson from his little sister.

Still a little unclear is what’s left in the Neverland main house. Now that the foreclosure is in place, Jackson may not have access to a lot of his possessions. If the property is auctioned "as is," the new owner may find himself with a treasure trove of highly collectible artifacts.

The tormented singer, 24, who only last month spent two weeks in rehab, has returned to her old habits after telling chums: “I can’t go on.”

Amy — whose husband is in jail — is taking cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and booze to dull her emotional pain, according to friends. They shockingly revealed:

She got a reluctant pal to smuggle drugs into the London rehab clinic on her FIRST NIGHT there.

Was “clean” for less than TEN days — in her failed bid to pass a drugs test to get a US visa to attend the Grammy Awards.

FEARS that without drugs she is just a ZOMBIE.

One horrified friend told how last week Amy deliberately burnt her hand with a lighter, screaming: “My life is a shell of what it was.

“People talk to me and I just zone out. It’s like the whole world is now stillborn. Colours aren’t as bright, love doesn’t feel real. I don’t know who I am and I just feel numb.”

The pal added: “We were sat around the table when she held a lighter over her hand and let the flame scar her skin.

“Amy has been up and down in a way she never was before. One minute she’ll be fine, the next she’ll be in a heap on the floor, screaming she can’t go on. She feels that rehab is turning her into some sort of zombie with no emotion.”

Another friend said: “On the first night in rehab she begged a friend to take her in some drugs.

After that she did not take anything for a week to ten days. But that was just about trying to get her to the Grammys. Now we’re back to the dangerous levels of before.”

The revelations follow Amy’s twitchy and erratic performance at the Brits.

Her hubby BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL, 25, is awaiting court over trial fixing allegations.

Amy — who wears a locket with his photo — is said to have be obsessed with JOHNNY CASH’s version of the haunting Nine Inch Nails track Hurt.

The first line is: “I hurt myself today, to see if I could feel.” A pal said: “It terrifies the rest of us.”
