Those concerned over Hilary Swank's plummeting weight can rest easy—maybe. The two-time Oscar nabber is next set to pack on the pounds (and a lot of 'em) to play the lead in French Women Don't Get Fat, an adaptation of Mireille Guiliano's best-selling book, which Swank will also produce.

"She'll gain 20 to 30 pounds," we're told by a source close to the production. "It's no sweat. She's played a man before. She can handle anything."

Yeah, but others close to her are expressing concerns over Hilary-hon's heart. Details 'n' dirt after the jump...

As we just reported, some of Swank's colleagues are more than concerned about her alarmingly thin frame, which is so tiny, some say Chad Lowe's former wife is looking downright frail. But anything for a meaty part, eh?

While French Women is nonfiction, an early premise says Swank will play the manager of a champagne company dealing with French beauties who consume bread, wine and pastries yet never gain an ounce. And naturally, self discovery happens along the way.

Swank joins a slew of Hollywood peers gaining weight for work, such as Eva Longoria-Parker and her newly zaftig character Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives, as well as daddy-type Matt Damon, who packed on pounds for The Informant. Still, Hill-babe ain't too happy about the physical requirements, a fat little birdie told us, whatever—ain't a third Oscar worth it?

A rep for Swank would only confirm that the project is indeed upcoming, not Swank's next. We hear otherwise.

A porn star was sentenced to six years in federal prison for gun and cocaine possession, The Los Angeles Daily News reported.

"Tony Eveready," whose real name is Duane Reed Moore, was on parole for spousal abuse when he was stopped by police last July for not having license plates, and then indicted three months later.

A search of his car turned up a loaded semiautomatic weapon, a handgun, a fold-up baton and almost 4 grams of cocaine in several Ziploc bags, according to the News.

Moore, 37, told Los Angeles police that he used the weapons as movie props and sold drugs to make ends meet when his work in adult entertainment was sluggish. He has acted in almost 200 pornographic films, according to the Internet Movie Database site IMDB.com.
According to WIKIPORNO, he is best known for the BOOYAH video and for his moniker of the "Thug of Porn"

Looks like one of the funniest celebrities in the world is joining PETA Europe's worldwide fight to stop the slaughter of Canadian black bears for silly hats. And I'm particularly excited about this celebrity, who is probably one of my favorite entertainers of all time: Ricky Gervais.

Gervais, whom you probably know as the star of Extras and the original version of The Office, has written a letter to U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown asking him to replace the bear fur on the Queen's Guards' caps with a cruelty-free material. In his letter, he points out that it takes the entire hide of a bear to make one hat—and that’s nothing to “have a laugh” about!

Oh, maybe you should just read the lovely man's lovely letter, before I manage to work in "Freelove Freeway" or Sir Ian McKellen's "wizard, you shall not pass" bit.

Emma Watson says that it’s been hard to grow up in the spotlight. “In a way, it’s hard to grow up inside a film. I lived a period of my life that is full of lessons and changes under the spotlight,” the Harry Potter actress tells Vogue Italy.

Emma says that “people have the strange feeling of knowing me intimately because they have seen my transformation from child to woman, albeit only on screen.” Some days she wishes life were simpler, but the rest of the time she feels like “the luckiest girl in the world. After all, whose life is normal?”

Grateful for her experiences, Emma says, “I learned a lot of things, met tons of people from as many different places and had incredible experiences. It was just a bit different, but that’s okay.”

Emma is stunning in the magazine’s 20-page photo shoot. She dons gowns and couture dresses by Versace, Chanel and Armani PrivĂ© in a dreamy, theatrical setting.

As for her role models, Emma says that she looks up to Julia Roberts and Goldie Hawn! Julia Roberts “has a magnetic personality and smile” and Goldie Hawn has “lots of fun and for her showbiz abilities.”

Miley Cyrus has ordered a fully loaded, convertible white Mercedes-Benz CLK 550 Cabriolet with a sticker price of $75,000, according to In Touch Weekly.

"I definitely want to get something bad on the road, big enough for all my friends and to scare all the cars away from me. I'm a good driver but it's everyone else that I'm worried about!" Miley recently dished about what kind of car she wanted for her upcoming 16th birthday.

A source revealed: "Miley wanted special options like parking assist and a cream colored leather interior, so she ordered the car early. She's telling everyone that she hopes to get a car when she turns 16, so when it comes, she can say it was a surprise from her parents."

Members of the public complained that the advertisements for Wanted were irresponsible in the current climate and were likely to provoke violence or antisocial behaviour.

The film stars Jolie and British actor James McAvoy as a pair of assassins.

One poster featured a gun-toting Jolie lying across the bonnet of a car and a bullet curving towards the audience. It carried the strapline: "This is your destiny. Join us."

Another showed McAvoy with a gun in each hand, pointing towards the viewer. The accompanying slogan implied that his life had changed for the better since he became a killer.

The Advertising Standards Authority imposed the ban after receiving 17 complaints from the public, many of whom said the posters were unsuitable to be seen by children.

In its adjudication, the industry watchdog ruled: "We acknowledged most viewers would understand the posters reflected the content of an action film. However, we considered that because the ads featured a glamorous actress, action poses, several images of or related to guns and aspirational text, they could be seen to glamorise the use of guns and violence. We concluded [they] could be seen to condone violence by glorifying or glamorising the use of guns."

An ASA spokesman added: "We have seen a proliferation of complaints from the public about advertising which is seen to condone gun or knife crime. We are responding to the level of consumer concern."

The film studio, Universal Pictures, said the posters had not appeared near schools or other areas frequented by children.

We're just as excited as you all are about the new 90210, but like all members of the media, we've been unable to preview the pilot episode, so we have just as many questions as you do. Here's what we do know. —Mickey O'Connor

How exactly is this new 90210 a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210?
Well, it kind of isn't; calling it a remake is probably more accurate, in that the character archetypes and plot (Midwestern siblings move to California and befriend a nerd, a goofy girl, a hunk and his girlfriend) are similar. The catch: It also includes characters from the earlier series. Though one draft of the pilot script revealed Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez, the offspring of Andrea and Jesse, to be the head of the high school's TV station, it's Erin Silver (Jessica Stroup) who will carry the next-generation torch on the CW series.

Wait, who? Remember at the end of Season 2 of Beverly Hills, 90210 when Kelly's mom and David's dad improbably got married and had a cute little towhead named Erin? Well, Erin is now a teenager, a quasi-celebrity blogger who will play best pal to Annie Wilson, the new "Brenda."

Which actors from the original series will appear on the remake?
As of press time, only Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Joe E. Tata (Nat) and Ann Gillespie (Jackie Taylor Silver, Kelly and Erin's mom) have signed on to appear on the new series. Kelly is now a guidance counselor at her alma mater. Brenda, now a successful actress on the London theater scene, comes to town to guest-direct the high school's production of Spring Awakening -- as successful London theater actresses are wont to do...

Good old Nat still owns the Peach Pit, but it will look significantly different than the 1950s-style diner fans remember from the Fox show, as it's now a soigné coffeehouse. Recovering alcoholic and drug addict Jackie Taylor Silver will appear on the show long enough to fall off the wagon, forcing Erin to move in with her big sister Kelly and 4-year-old nephew (more on him later).

Tori Spelling backed out of the show when there were reported salary disputes. Original Brandon Jason Priestley has expressed interest in directing an episode or two of the show. Luke Perry, Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green have all stated that they wish the new show luck, but aren't interested in cameos. Thus far, Gabrielle Carteris hasn't gone on the record about the new show.

So then who is going to play the mystery dad of Kelly's son?
On the new 90210, Kelly Taylor has an adorable, blond, 4-year-old son named Sammy. Which begs the question: Who's the daddy? At the close of the original series in 2000, Kelly and Dylan reconnected at Donna and David's wedding, but since Sammy's birth would have taken place four years after that, it's really anyone's guess. Producers have said they haven't decided on Sammy's paternity yet, but the sentimental favorite seems to be Luke Perry's Dylan.

Why are the Wilsons moving to Beverly Hills in the first place? While the Walshes changed zip codes because dad Jim got a new, higher-paying accounting job, the Wilsons move to Beverly Hills to take care of family matriarch Tabitha Wilson (Arrested Development's Jessica Walter), a faded 1970s TV star -- and an alcoholic -- who can no longer take care of herself.

How do we put this? In the original series, Brandon and Brenda were fraternal twins. But the new siblings are, er...
Harry and Debbie Wilson (Rob Estes and Lori Loughlin) have a 16-year-old daughter named Annie (Shenae Grimes, who appeared on Degrassi) and a 16-year-old adopted son, Dixon (The Wire's Tristan Wilds), who is African-American. The producers emphasize that Annie and Dixon are best friends who will weather the adjustment to their new home together.

Who will date whom? Is there a love triangle of any sort planned?
Dustin Milligan, who plays Ethan Ward, kind of a Steve-Dylan hybrid, has confirmed that while he is dating Naomi Clark (Nip/Tuck's AnnaLynne McCord) in the pilot, new girl Annie will also catch the lacrosse star's attention. Early rumors have young English teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold) either pairing up with guidance counselor Kelly Taylor or -- gasp! -- one of his students.

These days, doesn't Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girl, The O.C.) have this beat covered?
Nobody will deny Schwartz's talent for tapping into the teen zeitgeist, but 90210 has its own secret weapons in the form of co-executive producers Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs. This talented pair also co-produced Judd Apatow's critically loved Freaks and Geeks, which was an unorthodox, unflinchingly honest look on the abject cruelty of one's high school years. Plus, it was smart, well-scripted, and very funny. Who better to ensure that the new show's cheese levels remain under control? Because, let's face it, at times the original's earnestness reeked of Velveeta.

Who will our favorite character be?
After watching Jessica Walter tear up the scenery on Arrested Development, we just know that any scene with the melodramatic (and hopefully drunk!) Tabitha Wilson is going to be a little slice of trash-TV heaven. In the fantasy 90210 of our dreams, Tabitha is some delicious amalgamation of Piper Laurie as Sissy Spacek's Bible-thumpin' nutjob mama in Carrie and Joan Collins' from Dynasty. Dirty pillows... and shoulder pads!

But we, along with a bunch of other outlets, weighed in on the rumor that Russell Crowe would be playing Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes, the retooled detective movie directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr. Because the source of this story was Britain's The Sun, we told you that it might be suspect.

And its shelf life was brief.

Ritchie talked to Empire about the movie at the British premiere of RocknRolla (which is due out in the UK this Friday). "I don't have a Watson," confessed Ritchie. "Somebody just told me that I have Russell Crowe lined up but that’s news to me. I suspect that hasn't happened and I'm still looking for my Watson."
One item The Sun got right, however, was the shooting schedule: This thing is racing into production within a few weeks. And Ritchie is damned excited, despite not having Russell Crowe's towering talent at his disposal. "We’ve got what I’d like to think are some of the best locations in London and with this film I get to show a whole new side to London. I’ve done contemporary and now I won’t be doing that, obviously.”

That answers the question about whether or not Holmes will be Victorian; there has been speculation that, because of the director's flashy style and the hints that the character will be updated, they might shift the chronology. Looks like that won't happen, which is great news.

As for Downey, his wife Susan is co-producing the film and is a RocknRolla producer, as well. She confirms he's attacking the role with his typical verve. “He’s been practicing how he’s going to sound, how he’s going to look and he’s pretty excited,” says Downey. “He’s going to get here in the middle of the month and he’s raring to get going.”

And while she's secretive on specifics of the plot, Downey does reveal that her husband is “a badass in this movie.”

All of that, even the clarification on Crowe, is encouraging. I still hold up Paul Giamatti as my pick for Watson (just watch The Illusionist). He's an ideal choice. I also love Chiwetel Ejiofor, which would be way out of left field, but imagine the possibilities.

We'll definitely keep you posted on Dr. Watson. Crowe was not the best fit for that role. And since he's Holmes' confidant and biographer (possibly the narrator for the film, depending on its structure), the right actor is crucial.

After creating so much buzz around their new “90210” series, the CW network was afraid to offer any episodes in advance for review.

Hoping to earn high ratings, the desperate network did not need any depreciative comments for the new show. Even though the original series was widely popular despite the bad reviews, the new show does not have so many chances to be successful, like every show that is revived several times.

CW and "90210's" production house, CBS Paramount Network Television, e-mailed to critics a statement, announcing them that they “made the strategic marketing decision not to screen '90210' for any media in advance of its premiere.”

This decision is often taken when a movie is bad, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be a commercial success.

The plot of the new series is somewhat similar to the original plot, with the Wilson family moving from Kansas to Beverly Hills, after dad Harry (Rob Estes) accepted the job of principal at the West Beverly Hills High, where siblings Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) will enroll.

The new writers for the series, Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, who previously worked on teen dramas “Life As We Know It” and “Freaks & Geeks,” said they would bring a breath of fresh air to the show, which they hope will be appealing also for those who are used with Aaron Spelling’s style.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Judah said the show was loaded with “real character stories and emotional stories.” He said they hoped people can recognize their real problems and feelings in the series.

“We're trying to tell truthful, emotional stories, but also keep it pretty funny, too,” Judah said, while Sachs added the show will borrow some of the quirky style of “Freaks and Geeks.”

At the same time, the writers were honest enough to express their concern about the series’ success and admit that they are not sure whether it would deliver.

“Trust me, your concerns about Sachs and Judah doing '90210' are the same concerns everyone has had, including Jeff and I,” Sachs said. “We were the first ones to go, 'Can we pull this off?’” That remains for the viewers to decide…

Speaking of which, the CW network hopes to attract not only young audience, but also the older fans of the original series, who are curious to see again the stars that used to play Brenda and Kelly.

Another reason of general interest was the much talked about relationship between Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. The matter was widely discussed, with Tori Spelling saying something about a fist fight between the two actresses in her autobiography, and Doherty denying everything and calling Spelling a liar. However, Jennie Garth recalls that starring in Beverly Hills 90210 was “worse than high school” for her, because everybody was so unbearably competitive.

“There was a lot of tension and unnecessary drama on the set, a certain amount of competition, and a certain, probably, anger about different salaries as the years progressed,” Garth confessed.

As for Doherty, she told USA Today that there was no tension when she reunited with Garth on screen. She also mentioned something about growing-up.

“I never felt any tension. I never felt hesitant. Maybe it's because I've grown up. Everybody is a different person when they're 18 or 19 than when they're in their 30s,” she said.

The show premieres tonight at 8, on the CW network. [source]

After a hard practice with the sun beating down his 6-5 frame, DeMarcus Ware stormed off the field.

Ware walked through a maze of fencing controlling where fans, media and family could watch Cowboys' training camp practice in Oxnard, Calif.

He said he was tired of practicing and wanted to get the season started.

But Ware's disposition changed when he saw little Marley Ware.

The Cowboys linebacker picked up the nearly 6-month-old girl with his meaty hands and kissed her on the cheek. He hugged her, tickled her and tried to get her to smile.

Marley smiled with some prompting by her mother, Taniqua.

These are fun times for DeMarcus and Taniqua Ware.

There's diaper changing, feedings and shopping for baby clothes.

"You are so happy because you have a little bundle of joy in your life," he said. "I even find myself going to Wal-Mart looking for little toys. When I'm going grocery shopping looking for food, I'm getting baby food instead of food for myself."

Last January, DeMarcus and Taniqua were hurting professionally and personally.

The football season crashed when the Cowboys lost to the Giants in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Sitting in the front row behind the Cowboys' bench was Taniqua. She was crying as she talked on her cellphone to family members.

Just five days earlier, Taniqua had suffered her third miscarriage.

After things had calmed down, DeMarcus went to a Grapevine car dealership to get work done on his Corvette when he met Justin Norwood.

Ware sat in Norwood's office and noticed a picture of two kids, Norwood's son and sister.

Norwood told Ware both were adopted.

Ware revealed his struggles with starting a family.

Eventually, Norwood called his father, Jim, a pastor at Oakcrest Family Church in Kennedale and told him about the Wares.

"I told him I knew of somebody who might want to adopt a child," Justin said. "It's funny, but he said, 'I know of a woman who approached me today about a baby that she needed to find a home for that she was about to have.' "

Jim Norwood, who counsels troubled women, put the adoption process into motion.

"Everything happened so fast. The timing of it all definitely shows she was meant to be ours," Taniqua said of Marley.

The woman, who gave up her parental rights, was due in February.

Justin Norwood told the Wares to attend the Pro Bowl in Hawaii and teammate Stephen Bowen's wedding in New York because he didn't expect the birth that soon.

DeMarcus was in New York on Feb. 29 when he got a phone call about the baby's birth.

"That just tells you how badly they wanted a baby and how important it was to them," Justin Norwood said.

The Wares missed the birth, but they met the mother. They named the baby after DeMarcus' favorite singer, Bob Marley.

Being a father is important to DeMarcus, who was raised in a single-parent household while growing up in Alabama.

"I never had a father around and so now with Marley in our lives this has really taught me a lot of responsibility," DeMarcus said. "It's also taught me how important a child is and how much happiness a child can bring to a family." via
