Padma Lakshmi pregnant with first child

Looks like Padma Lakshmi will be eating for two on "Top Chef."

The actress and host of the hit Bravo reality show -- currently taking place in Las Vegas -- announced today that she is pregnant with her first child. Lakshmi, who was recently seen looking voluptuous on the red carpet at the Primetime Emmys, did not identify who the father is.

The pregnancy is especially sweet for Lakshmi, 39, who suffers from endometriosis -- a medical condition in which uterine tissue grows outside the uterus, causing scarring and often making it difficult or impossible to conceive. She was previously married to writer Salman Rushdie for three years until the pair split in 2007.
