We are crossing our fingers in the world of Britney. The pop star saw her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, again, as part of her ongoing visitation, and dined with Braveheart star Mel Gibson. There were no signs of her pink wig, late night trips to Rite-Aid or former pal Sam Lutfi, who will reportedly not be fighting the restraining order against him, which will be extended another 30 days.

Saturday, after a scheduled visit with her sons, Britney reportedly met up with Mel Gibson at Studio City, Calif., restaurant Romanov, where they dined on Russian cuisine for about two hours. Although the nature of their meeting was not reported, in 2006, Mel had plenty of nice things to say about the troubled pop star. "I feel compassion for someone like Britney," Mel said. "She never gets a moment… Your heart goes out to her because I'm positive that, at her core, she's a good woman."

Someone who won't be dining or getting anywhere near Britney in the near future: former pal/manager Sam, whose spokesman, Michael Sands , tells PageSix.com that Sam will, “not fight the temporary restraining order being extended another 30 days.” A temporary restraining order, detailing that Sam must stay 250 yards away from Britney, her homes and her family's homes, was issued against Sam last month after Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, submitted a six-page declaration claiming that Sam admitted to giving Britney drugs.
