X Factor judge Cheryl Cole said she feels “more experienced” on this year’s show.

Cole, 26, will soon return to British TV screens alongside Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh to find the UK’s next best thing. She made her first appearance last year and went on to win the show with her act Alexandra Burke.

She said: “This year I feel I’m more experienced as a judge. I struggled at first last year in saying no to people – I think I may have been giving false hope.

“This year, I’ve learned more. I’m much more capable of letting people down if they don’t have what we’re looking for without feeling as bad.”
